December 2018 - An exciting new project….
We are always thinking about new ways to try to get developments adopted quicker and noticed in a recent visit to a client’s office that they were struggling to get their deed of grants in place to allow sewers to be adopted, which in turn is holding up their road adoptions. We came up with an idea to help them that they have now taken on board. Read our Deed of Grants page to see if you think we can help you too.
August 5th 2018 - We are announcing an increase in our fees…
Don’t be shocked! We are not one of those companies that sneak an increase in and hope no one notices when they sign off the invoices! We will be writing to all of our wonderful clients in December 2018 to advise them that our fees are due to go up by 10% from January 2018 (apart from the mileage charges which are set out by HMRC). This increase is due to the ever increasing costs of things like insurance, fuel, accountancy fees, dividends no longer being tax free and simple things like stationery and printing costs that all eat away at our modest profits and all existing clients will continue to pay our current rate until next year.
May 25th 2018 is GDPR Day….. The joys!
So, what does this mean to us? Well firstly, it means spending most of the day doing on-line training, printing off reams of paper, sitting on hold to the help-line for 60 minutes then giving up and trying to get to grips with how we correctly interpret how a little company like ours avoids falling foul of the rules that are more applicable to a multi-national company that holds millions of people’s personal data. Well, after a bit of cribbing, we have eventually come up with a Privacy Statement which can be found here if you are interested and its off to Staples (other stationers are available) for a tin box to keep all those personal details in!
August 2016 - Due to our ever increasing workload….
I would be very interested to hear from people with experience of road and sewer adoptions from either a contracting or council background that may be semi retired but looking for occasional work to assist with remedial mark ups for both Section 38 and 278 works.
I am also looking for assistance in doing BT Box inspections to help our clients procure their rebates and manhole inspections on a number of sites, which due to the amount of work we are currently carrying out, I am conscious that I don’t allow this very important part of the adoption process to fall behind.

November 2015 - I am also very pleased to announce….
That Eleanor Nixon, as well as her role of Company Secretary and keeping the accounts running smoothly has is also helping with writing up reports and general admin tasks which will free up my time to spend more of it out on site, getting your developments remediated and bonds reduced.
